Serenity Fields Cemetery Rules
- Defacing, damaging, altering, or removing any monument, grave marker, vase, or other cemetery property is strictly prohibited. Anyone found engaging in such activity will be subject to removal from the premises, restoration fees, and may have charges filed with local law enforcement.
- All grave markers and monuments must be approved in advance by cemetery management to ensure they meet material, size, design, and placement standards.
- Enclosing gravesites with any form of fencing, coping, hedge, ditch, border, or stone perimeter is strictly prohibited.
- The placement of boxes, shelves, toys, metal designs, ornaments, chairs, settees, cast iron benches, wire trellises, wind chimes, statues, figurines, or other similar items is not permitted at any time.
- The planting of any flowers, bushes, shrubs, trees, or other vegetation is strictly prohibited, whether directly on gravesites or around memorials.
- All floral arrangements, whether artificial or fresh-cut, must be placed in approved, permanent plastic or metal vases. Arrangements not properly placed will be removed during routine maintenance.
- The use of glass containers of any kind is strictly prohibited due to safety hazards and groundskeeping interference.
- Seasonal decorations such as potted plants, holiday wreaths, baskets, and flags are permitted only during Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Dia de los Muertos, All Souls Day, and Christmas. These items may be placed up to three days before the holiday and will be removed ten days afterward.
- Any decorations or floral arrangements that become unsightly, weather-damaged, or interfere with maintenance will be removed at the discretion of cemetery personnel.
- Solar lights are permitted only with prior written authorization from cemetery management. If approved, solar lights must be securely placed on the memorial itself and must not interfere with mowing, edging, or other maintenance.
- Alcoholic beverages, intoxicating substances, and recreational activities such as picnicking, tailgating, or barbecuing are strictly prohibited on cemetery property.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the cemetery grounds to preserve a clean, respectful, and fire-safe environment.
- Firearms are not permitted on cemetery grounds except by individuals carrying a concealed handgun in accordance with Texas state law or by participants in an authorized military or ceremonial service. Open carry of firearms is strictly prohibited.
- Visitors are advised to watch their step at all times, as the terrain may be uneven due to natural ground shifting. Serenity Fields Cemetery is not responsible for injuries resulting from uneven surfaces or lack of caution.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Running, horseplay, and climbing on monuments or structures is prohibited.
- Pets are not permitted on cemetery grounds, with the exception of certified service animals. Owners must clean up after service animals at all times.
- The cemetery is not responsible for missing, misplaced, or damaged decorations, floral arrangements, or personal items due to wind, weather, theft, vandalism, or routine maintenance.
- Commercial photography or video recording on cemetery property is not allowed without prior written approval from cemetery management.
- All visitors must conduct themselves in a respectful and reverent manner while on cemetery grounds. Any disruptive, loud, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the premises.
- All vehicles must remain on designated roads and parking areas. Driving or parking on grass or walkways is prohibited unless authorized by cemetery staff.
